How the minimum is calculated, why it is based on weight rather than pieces, what a setup charge covers, and what to send so the quotation answers the question in one pass.
150 kg per single specification, calculated by weight. Each specification is counted separately, so several specifications ordered together do not combine into one minimum. Orders below the minimum incur a one-time setup charge, shown as its own line on the quotation.
Extrusion is a continuous process: the machine runs a die, and the run length is what carries the setup cost. The same cross-section in a thicker wall, or in a denser material, weighs more per metre — so a minimum expressed in pieces would mean a different production load every time. Weight is the only measure that stays comparable across materials and wall thicknesses.
A one-time setup charge applies. It covers the machine setup for that specification and appears as a separate line on the quotation, so the per-kilogram price and the setup charge stay visible as two distinct numbers.
You do not have to work the weight out yourself. Send the cross-section and we will state the weight per metre and the length that 150 kg corresponds to, so you can compare the minimum against your real demand before you commit.
